Open House
A public open house was held on April 16th, from 12:00 to 7:00pm to provide people an opportunity learn about and discuss the draft Urban Design Standards. Approximately 10 people attended. There were a number of comments and questions regarding the UDS.
The focus of the discussions that the attendees engaged staff in were generally on the following: the positive change that the UDS could have for the community; the need to manage the function and aesthitics of new development; the way the draft UDS sections are interrelated; scope; community health; active transportation; and, the standards associated with utilities. These, as all meetings and discussions that have been part of this Project, will be considered and integrated into the UDS as appropriate.
